There are three types of rooms all with sea views. The superior room type is on the top floor of the three storey building providing the best views. All the rooms are nicely furnished, simple and practical rather than luxurious. All rooms are air-conditioned, feature Sky TV, have a fridge, mini-bar and direct dial phones. The Rock pool restaurant is located on the top floor of the hotel and enjoys magnificent views. Serves a mixture of local and international dishes. Built in the late 1980's and renovated in 2005 the hotel is a low rise three storey modern building, with predominant glass floor to ceiling windows to maximise the views and natural light. A small functional lobby. A good option for those visiting the Bay of Islands for more than one or two days. As it is located just outside the main centre of Paihia town it may be more attractive to those with their own car. However those who do no wish to be in the centre of a busy resort town may appreciate its quieter location. A good standard hotel. SE0908
